Main point is: why not let a large number of people who heard about a condition from their own qualified doctors help you at least scribble down some questions to ask your own medical folks at your next appointment? (But please avoid those crystal suppositories.)
Because:
You have no way of verifying their anecdotes ever happened, that they were prescribed and on the medication
no way of knowing other circumstances that affect medications, like drug interactions, or other unfortunate habits they might have had
they have no knowledge of your underlying medical situation
your doctor has 2 and 3, and should have access to studies in lieu of 1.
Not to mention, how frequently the “I can fix it on my own” guy ends up making things worse.
Like my coworker who insisted he knew how to install a monitor and then couldn’t figure out why the display port wouldn’t work with a usb-a adapter. It had a normal DisplayPort plug and didn’t have a thunderbolt adapter (it’s a desktop.)
Rather than update the ticket that got him the monitor, he created a new ticket.
I can’t complain too much. IT guy likes me so he took the extra monitor and gave me a third one.
If you’re in a vaguely sensitive industry, there’s going to be a few people seeing what they can get into at those conferences.
This is especially true of things like cyber security conferences, or tech. They’ll be crawling with corporate spies.
Actually, I’d say any major trade or industry conference is going to have corporate spies and more… eh, freelance trying to see what they can get into.
So the question becomes: have you/your company run a background check on that guy? No? Then why the hell do you trust him?
So, like, for the bulk of history, the people demonizing it are religious assholes.
They demonized sex out of wedlock, demonized wanking off; and any other kind of sexual release, while simultaneously deciding who you can marry (and therefore have kids with,).
It’s one of their core methods of social control, ensuring wealth is only passed on to children of wealthy and “faithful” families.

But don’t do this. Really. The fdm layers are unhygienic, and there’s a not-insignificant risk of things snapping off and leading to awkward emergency room visits.
A better solution is printing a 2 part mold and casting silicone.
Used to have problems with the cat sneaking up while preheating, and being very intent on not getting off. (Even with the cold hot end poking him. It was… hilarious. Took an old i3 and sacrificed the build plate to solve the issue though.)
it really was hilarious watching the cat stubbornly refuse to move out the way as the bed moved back and forth and the hot end poked it. the cat had this most baleful look like it was being martyred by the machine.
(Yes, the friend was careful not to hurt the cat.)
Honestly it seems like a no-brainer to me to put a solar panel on the roof of electric cars to increase their action radius, so I figured there's probably one or more good reasons why they don't....

For the record, chopped strand fiber in a fdm printer doesn’t significantly increase strength- especially along layer lines.
It might increase tensile strength of the load is parallel to the layers, but that’s about it. In every other direction, the fiber doesn’t cross layers, and delaminating is the primary failure mode.
The strands would be more like glass fiber than asbestos- you wouldn’t want it in your lungs, but then it shouldn’t really be airborne.
A better option might be graphite filled, which will still get you that look, and help lighten the part without losing strength. Still would not want to sand it without ppe, though.
The filament is impregnated with short strands of carbon fiber (aka chopped strand,)
Basically, what you’re doing is using a 3d printed part as a core to shape the carbon fiber- which is a very useful trick- similar to shaping pink insulation foam and skinning that over. (Pink foam is fairly lightweight and very easy to shape- a resistive wire or wire heat gun cuts like butter. Especially useful if you take copper power wire and bend it to form.)
Taiwan's customs officials have issued a fine of NT$200,000 ($9,369) to a traveller for attempting to bring a lunch box containing pork into the country....
And let's be real, there's no reason to put that "(maybe)" in there. Are you suggesting the dude was like, "Ahahaha, my dastardly plan is in motion! I'm going to snuggle 4oz of pork hidden away in my lunch, in direct violation of import controls. It's so clever because I have absolutely no discernable reason I would want to do this on purpose!!!"
No.
I’m saying he might have known that pork was banned and didn’t think it was that big of a deal. that happens all the time.
Except it’s actually a really big deal. The ban on pork, specifically, is to prevent ASF from entering the local herd.
Bio controls are one of the few ways to prevent spread; and it takes all of five minutes to check what is or isn’t banned.
Further more he could have declared it- “hey I have this pork lunch,” which would have led to a very different conversation.
And what are you recommending me check? Google every item on the "ingredients" list on my coke zero to make sure I'm not smuggling red dye number 33 into a country that bans it?
It was literally called “chicken and pork combo.” Not exactly hidden.
You don’t have to google anything- except maybe to find their customs website where it’s all very plainly stated.
There are a dozen travel advisory warnings about pork products, specifically, and clearly stating that all pork is barred from entry.
More generally, meat and dairy products are almost always barred from entry (along with most every kind of ag product in general.)
That literally says all live animals and product s from them are banned (with a few exceptions that wouldn’t apply.)
You don’t get to not spend five minutes checking customs before traveling to another country and pretend like you’re the victim for getting dinged.
Particularly since the customs agent is specifically asking if you have anything. “Do you have any food with you…?” (This would be your last chance to declare it).

Just for the record, teenage hooligans-in my experience -are actually preferable to the adult hooligans.
Seriously. Teenagers might get drunk and do stupid shit but they’re scared of getting caught and run away. Many times they’ll even clean up after themselves if you’re not a total dick.
Adults tend to stand their ground and pick fights.
(Also, every demographic you care to name steal shit. Sobriety, income, race. None of it matters.)
Is it posting? There should be led indicators that flash, usually an array of them. (The pattern as it lights up means stuff.) and if connected to a monitor, it should also flash some kind of boot screen. If it completes posting, it’ll at least go to bios. If the LEDs aren’t flashing at all…
the first step is to pull everything out and re-seat it. (Ram, gpu, power, etc.)
Start with seating the power sockets (to mobo, the minimum needed RAM, cpu and cpu fan (connected to cpu_fam header; usually next to the cpu).
Side note on ram, if it’s dual-channel or more, it matters where the ram goes. Consult your manual.
“Sorry best we can do is more bombs, officially define antisemitism as calling these guys assholes, and, uh, oh yeah, giving their military benefits packages!”
I dunno. It definitely will incentivize “otherising” of the Jewish diaspora. Which may be a tertiary objective of it. And it will definitely lead to increased conflict.
Which is a shame because most the Jews I know well enough to talk to about it, are extremely anti-genocide, and they’re vocal about it because… they know “I’m Jewish, [awkward stare]” is a great way to not get dinged for politics at work. (At least when the political topic is Gaza.)

Ages ago (2006?). Even then, they got something like 40% of the vote. Less than half the voting-age Gazans alive just before the oct 7 attack were even able to vote in the election. Less that a quarter of the current Gazans voted for Hamas.
This is in comparison to 2022 Israeli elections leading to the current government in Israel.
