FigMcLargeHuge ,

I just got an email about a new power supply board for the rpi5 - PD Power Extension Board for Raspberry Pi 5. It's on their pihut website and is $20. Has multiple input types.

How hard was it to get off the avocado toast?

    FigMcLargeHuge ,

Did some LLM put together minor and report and decide it was a minority report?

    FigMcLargeHuge ,

So the 1997 Superbowl was "back in the day...?" Holy fuck.

The second they (hollywood) fucked with The Three Stooges I knew they have no boundaries they won't cross. Want to bet they attempt to A.I Bob Barker for another fight scene?

And does it just stick? If so what's the trick? I pop my popcorn, and it must be some crazy salt resistant mutation. I have ground the salt up in a blender, bought the popcorn salt, etc and it's like the popcorn has some defense mechanism.

    FigMcLargeHuge ,

I had no idea that existed. Thanks! I am going to order some.

    FigMcLargeHuge ,

I am popping it in a microwave silicon popper. Does a great job popping, but I might have to go back to the oil method and a metal bowl. Thanks.

People keep telling me that Nuon is probably the most obscure video game platform ever created. Oh, they've not heard how the greybeards entertain themselves. ( lemmy.world )

When I read the sentence, I was like "Wh... w... how? WHY? ...and OF COURSE it was distributed via FTP, I mean, what else do you use for entertainment in AIX. Or business, for that matter."...

    FigMcLargeHuge ,

I mean, what else do you use for entertainment in AIX.

I once accidentally deleted all of our production portal apps in AIX. That was entertaining...

    FigMcLargeHuge ,

Not sure what circles you run in, but it's talked about a lot with my family and friends. We quote it quite a bit. But hey, my brain is not a good brain.

    FigMcLargeHuge ,

Set up a cron job to run every hour that deletes them if they are older than 60 mins.
    Eg:
    0 * * * * find /var/tmp -type d -mmin +60 -exec rm -rf {} ;

SSH login without user name? ( docs.gitlab.com )

I was reading GitLab's documentation (see link) on how to write to a repository from within the CI pipeline and noticed something: The described Docker executor is able to authenticate e.g. against the Git repository with only a private SSH key, being told absolutely nothing about the user's name it is associated with....

    FigMcLargeHuge ,

I only have experience with Bitbucket, and absolutely none if this may be applicable to you, but we have to generate a key with certain parameters (a minimum) for them to work, and the public key has to be input into a field on your account. So while you do not need to "provide" a username to perform git commands, it is set up in your account as your private key. The command to gen the key is:
    ssh-keygen -t rsa -m PEM -b 4096 -C "[email protected]"

Once you put your public key into your bitbucket account, using that key will mark all changes you make to you. Is this what you are talking about or am I just off in left field?

    FigMcLargeHuge ,

Yeah, this seems like a targeted ad written by some llm. I have a larger phone and still cannot stand the size of the "keyboard" on it.. Can only imagine how fun it would be typing on that screen, even if the keyboard was fullscreen.

    FigMcLargeHuge ,

I guess a compliment. Sorry, this last year or so has made me very skeptical of anything I see online that seems a little spontaneous. So many companies trying to act like bros and just find something amazing they have to tell us about. Unfortunately it's clouding up the posts where people actually do find something amazing. I like this, and would actually look into it if it had better comments on the U.S. coverage or bands. Still not sure how I would do with the keyboard, but I do like the small form factor. Apologies again if you are a real person. In the meantime I am going to need you to click on every picture that contains a gopher. :)

    FigMcLargeHuge ,

Just want to point out that you can download audio from a Youtube video using yt-dlp and the following options:

-x, --extract-audio Convert video files to audio-only files (requires ffmpeg and
                                                      ffprobe)
--audio-format FORMAT Format to convert the audio to when -x is used. (currently
supported: best (default), aac, alac, flac, m4a, mp3, opus,
vorbis, wav). You can specify multiple rules using similar syntax
                                                      as --remux-video
--audio-quality QUALITY Specify ffmpeg audio quality to use when converting the audio with
-x. Insert a value between 0 (best) and 10 (worst) for VBR or a
specific bitrate like 128K (default 5)

You might have to use a tool to re-do the tags, but that's pretty easy to do. Edit: also want to point out that yt-dlp also works with a number of other sites besides Youtube.
