Fresh wasabi is available at one of the stores near me very occasionally and it's always been $99.99/lb.

I buy it every time it's available. You only buy a little, so it usually works out to something like eight or ten bucks for a good few servings. Not really expensive at all.

You may be joking, but I think that is a big part of what they look for, consciously or not. Progressives can be pretty happy discussing news and ideas with other progressives. Conservatives don't want to talk about things too much unless there's an argument to be had.

I've been in some of those groups. They don't discuss ideas. They discuss people and events, sports, maybe what they did last weekend or plant to do this weekend, talk about their families.

It sounds like you just need to exfoliate when you bathe. You're wiping soap on your skin (presumably), but you need a coarser texture to remove the dead skin cells which build up.

Washington, so probably. Beautiful place. They implemented the six-month opening a couple of years back because all the campsites would get booked out years in advance for the best times of year.

We avoid that because anywhere nearby, attractive, and easy to bring your gear to tends to fill up. Better to have a reservation and know you will get a spot.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was simply a matter of someone knowing that oil burns and noticing how oily the fish is, then having the brilliant idea of trying to light a fish on fire (alcohol may have been involved).

I hadn't been aware of the collaboration with the radio station until I watched the show Evil (episode 12).

It's just a fun show, not political, but I'd recommend watching that episode. Not that it goes into great detail, but the acting and writing make it feel so much more understandable, how a radio host calling minorities cockroaches can really matter. Stochastic terrorism and all that.

Disclaimer: I am not trolling, I am an autistic person who doesn’t understand so many social nuances. Also I am from New Hampshire (97% white), so I just don’t have any close African-American friends that I am willing to risk asking such a loaded question.

I think part of the disconnect is that you don't see that same mockery in the north.

This really does nail it. In the north, we do have the stereotype that black people like fried chicken. However, that is seen as neutral or positive. Fried chicken is delicious and black people tend to make great fried chicken. What's not to like?

You might have better luck indoors than outdoors, depending on where you live. Where I live, anything squash-related planted outdoors develops powdery mildew and dies. I have planted many pumpkins and successfully harvested one. Ever. Maybe I should plant some inside.

Interesting. Thanks for sharing. I wonder why this isn't something that ever makes the news here in the US. You hear about meth in the US (mostly when an individual drug user does something crazy or when their meth lab explodes), but anytime another country is mentioned in regards to drugs, it's always about fentanyl or opioids or cocaine or even cannabis.

I (an American) had actually never heard of Costco until I moved to Japan. Where I grew up we had Sam's Club, but no Costco, so when I got to Japan and the other foreigners were talking about how they love getting the chance to go down to Costco, I had no idea what they were talking about.

Didn't see a Costco in person until a few years later.

Real, eaten-in-China Chinese food is amazing. Highly regional, though, so you may love one region's cuisine and not another's. Some of the best food on earth for sure, though.

Lindell seems to be suggesting voters request early voting ballots that they will not use and take them to poll sites.

Then, voters should take the ballot outside, take a picture of it and send it what he calls the Election Crimes Bureau but also goes under the name of the Lindell Offense Fund website.

Surely that's got to be an attempt at election interference.
