I rewatched the usual suspects for the upteenhundreth time, I think it lost a little bit of its magic. Michael Baldwins character is just a bit too camera hungry and angry for me, some of the scenes have just lost their luster. It's still a 9/10, but after 20 years I think it's no longer my 10/10 go to for a guaranteed love rewatch movie. It hurts. Have I become jaded?

Right there with you, at this point it's absolutely a question if I want to fire up the laptop and hope the battery doesn't explode, or pull the desktop out of storage and take over the living room television. That deck is too damn versatile and portable, anything that doesn't run on it doesn't get added to the library any more, unless it's free!

Favourite patient modern game?

A bit of a weird title, but basically what’s a game that’s more than a year old but still considered “modern” that you love? There’s no real strict definition for modern, I’d just like to see some discussion around great games that aren’t quite classics yet (but probably will be one day)....

Hades is absolutely the culmination of so much experience in modern rogue-lite games and game development.

It's sequel comes out soon and I'm not going to be patient about jumping head first into it.

Dude they made another trine??? Damn I've gotta get that into my library. Some of the most fun co-op I've ever done was trine, trine 2 and trine 3. Hopefully 5 took a lot of "don't do that"'s from trine 4.

Me too, thinking I'll finally have some enlightenment as to how to kill the first night or twos zombies without getting killed and rage quitting.

I've even watched "beginner tutorials" on that game game, and conveniently they ended the first video just after nightfall of the first night, and started the second video during the second day, but that's not how it friggin works, you need to murder the enemies lest they murder you, and in 5 different starts of the game, across 3 different devices, I've yet to kill the first or second nights horde without them breaking down my doors and wrecking my shit.

That game is one of my biggest regrets, I bought the 4 pack when it first came out thinking my friends and I would all have a great time, it makes me feel like I'm old and disconnected that I can't enjoy that stupid (supposedly fantastic) game.

Definitely a legit take, there are very few people I wouldn't recommend Hades to, if only for enough playthroughs to get to the "end" of the story. Though there is so much past that

They're easily outraged by any perceived slight, easily demonized/lionized by the media, often incredibly misguided, entirely without consideration for the bigger picture, and usually have 0 long-term impact follow-through or apology when whatever they were upset about gets rectified.

I've had 2 "Xbox elite" controllers, both of them have had problems with sticky buttons. Annoying beyond belief. The regular Xbox s controller works better than either of the elites did.

That said my steam deck is my favorite controller when I need a controller.

Yup, this commerad (the one you're responding to) is 100% okay with fascism it seems.

Better to allow the group that locks up protestors, doesn't convict anti fascist murderers, kills minorities, and actively surpresses the ability to vote, than vote for "the lesser of 2 evils". I'm not saying they're Russian, or Republican, but they're saying the same things as those groups.

Same here, sounds like a lot of these people are disenfranchised, or are paid to dissuade voters from one particular side, or they're useful idiots.

I live in a first past the post system, it's not going to change for the better from the top down, I petition for ranked choice voting on the local level, if I want to continue to be able to vote in the future (and not in a Russian sense of "being able to vote") I'm voting for Biden.
