You can put a LOT of Javascript on a microSD card, then burn that. Or any other language but Javascript somehow feels appropriate.

Electronics is usually photographed in lightboxes with soft lighting all around, which can be somewhat achieved with LED strips around the front side of the display area; however you'd need to add bezels so that viewers aren't bothered by the lights. Based on the brown, red and gold features of the objects, I would pick a warm white color but that depends on other lights in the room and it would clash with the blue wall (not that the radios don't already). If you want a museum-like display rather than atmospheric, I'd go for neutral white and keep that consistent across the room.

Probably more. Just search for 'x' in a name register and filter the normal ones like Alex.

ChaoticNeutralCzech ,

Yes. Technically, a similar vote could repeal the law just as easily but there is a history of governments not giving their power away easily; implementing it also sets a precedent and creates technical enforcement options for other governments willing to go through with something similar in the future, or for hackers to exploit because gov-rooted devices will remain in operation for years after the potential repeal.

Yeah, (O)OP is such a rookie they probably call it Homework, which is a well-known trick. The correct stealth strategy is a directory called linux_malware_test_vm_imgs containing archives such as

Absolutely hilarious but technocally the term is correct as we have 1 natural satellite.

They just transitioned to Google Wallet, which lacks some features, notably peer-to-peer transactions. The API for virtual banking cards that most banking apps use instead of including their own NFC driver, also called "Google Pay", will keep working. At least that's how I understand it.

ChaoticNeutralCzech ,

Back then, there were still lots of "wipers" that deleted files and/or destroyed the OS. Now it's all spyware and ransomware.

ChaoticNeutralCzech ,

Yes. It's not wrong 100% of the time, otherwise you could make a fortune by asking it for investment advice and then doing the opposite.

What happened is like the current robot craze: they made the technology resemble humans, which drives attention and money. Specialized "robots" can indeed perform tedious tasks (CNC, pick-and-place machines) or work safely with heavier objects (construction equipment). Similarly, we can use AI to identify data forgery or fold proteins. If we try to make either human-like, they will appear to do a wide variety of tasks (which drives sales & investment) but not be great at any of them. You wouldn't buy a humanoid robot just to reuse your existing shovel if excavators are cheaper. (Yes, I don't think a humanoid robot with digging capabilities will ever be cheaper than a standard excavator).

Well, a conversational AI with sub-human abilities still has some uses. Notably scamming people en masse so human email scammers will be put out of their jobs /s

The purpose of code is to solve a problem but don't tell that to the newbies or they reduce the PHP codebase you spend full time managing to 10% that in Rust and take your job.

The Czech government has always had Israel bootlickers. It's not hard to imagine why they're the most vocal apologetics for the massacre.

Anyway, thankfully common Czechs showed a bit of reason for a change and don't care about the issue while being very supportive and accomodating (most per capita) to Ukrainian refugees.

Google's call-scanning AI could dial up censorship by default, privacy experts warn ( techcrunch.com )

A feature Google demoed at its I/O confab yesterday, using its generative AI technology to scan voice calls in real time for conversational patterns associated with financial scams, has sent a collective shiver down the spines of privacy and security experts who are warning the feature represents the thin end of the wedge. They...

The processor is rather bad. I think that any advantage of the form factor you see will be outweighed by the frustratingly sluggish experience. You'll wan to turn it into a single-purpose device and not handle it often, defeating the purpose of its physical feel.

Anyway, you'll see them all over Ebay when the service inevitably shuts down. If it had volume buttons and a headphone jack, there could be some audio-based use such as a podcast player.

ChaoticNeutralCzech ,

It is somewhat OK considering it's a free app.

And yet, for both you are supposed to pay for an overpriced device. You can at least pirate the R1 app.

Thanks, cool recommendation. I think the consequencesof "what if we gave Russia what it wants?" as Babiš and sometimes Trump suggest they would do if elected, were a little glossed over. However, I've already watched William Spaniel's video about that so no big deal.

ChaoticNeutralCzech ,

Unless you have tons of money, why preorder? Just wait for the company to inevitably go under and people start reselling their now-useless devices, and then scoop as many as you want from Ebay. Even if the company survives for a while, the functionality is so underwhelming they might start getting rid of them way sooner.

We still need more government apps on F-Droid. EU's OSS strategy suggests that we'll have them eventually. I don't think such badge will ever exist there, though.
