Neither really.

It’s a personal choice. As long as they don’t drive or do anything stupid to others, I think they should have fun. Ii’s not cool as potential addiction is not cool, but it’s not a mental problem either as I both drink and eat junk, knowing very well neither does me any good at all.

Are you playing directly on your server?

For the first one at least you could solve it by running JF with a Chromecast or similar device.
Feels cleaner than a wireless mouse in the living room too, IMO

Yeah it costs, depending on quality of course.
My 14 TB disks are filling up faster than I expected and I am not close to Netflix’s catalogue.

Look up Nio. They already have fully automatic battery swapping stations for cars leasing the pack. You literally swap the whole pack instead of charging when it's empty.

Takes less than 10 minutes

Hey man, I'm an Android dude for phones. Won't even consider an iPhone as I dislike locked ecosystems for phones, but this is just not true.

Apple supports their devices way longer than any of the major Android producers do. I can't remember the last time my phone was supported more than 3-4 years, but my iPad was just rock solid and updated for 6 years. Replaced it because I wanted more RAM for scrolling endlessly on Reddit, but it was brilliant for everything else. My daughter still uses it with no issues today, two tears later.

The missus' Samsung tablet on the other hand...
What a piece of crap, and it was top of the line just three years ago.

We agree on every point except Apple products slowing down significantly faster than Android. My personal experience has been the polar oposite.

Yeah I agree, would be nice if the sold packs were as easy to replace as the leased ones are, but I doubt it.

I hope other makers come with a similar solution in the future. Being such a vital part and known to slowly degrade it should be easier to replace.

I use Tailscale for it. Install it on your server, give partner access and she can add stuff to your .arr's from anywhere. Simple and free.

It’s a fair response. Some uf us aren’t flush with time.

I’d survive SSH for installing Portainer and then you can run most of it from its GUI. If you use Docker Compose it will be super easy to make changes to your setup as well. Just change the file and redeploy your badboys.

I’m a recent dad absolutely strapped for time, but I still managed to set up a headless Debian server with close to zero Linux knowledge. There are so many amazing guides out there, especially on GitHub.

While I agree with your point in general, I too «celebrate» russian soldiers being eliminated.
The pure, evil brutality their countrymen have shown the world in the last two years is beyond comprehension.

So I guess it’s more celebrating every Ukranian who gets to live because these men died, if that makes sense.

I’d much prefer they get to go home of course. I think most of us do.

If it is giving up and letting Russia seize control of the entire nation, then you I have fundamentally different world views.
If it is negotiating with Putin, we are again in disagreement. We don’t bow down to bullies. When we do, they end up taking our lunch money again and again.

So really: please tell us what the best alternative is.
