Anyone playing Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes?
Anyone playing Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes? I just finished it on PC with an SSD and the option to turn the aggressive depth of field off. I hear the Switch and PS4 versions are kinda rough....

Square Enix is finally ditching it's ps exclusive games
I think that are very great news. Everyone should be able to play their games regardless of the plattform. Square Enix is one of the biggest publisher of jrpg's, with a lot brands that are often exclusive to ps (FF16, FF7, Forspoken) or sometimes to switch as well (Octopath traveler, Triangle strategy). It kind of frustrate me...

Patient gamers, what are your favourite city builders?
As Cities Skylines II still isn't worth it (the sub has a regular thread about that, in summary: no it's not: https://old.reddit.com/r/CitiesSkylines/comments/1ch6lup/is_cities_skylines_ii_worth_it_megathread/) which games scratch your city building itch?
What are some of your favorite JRPG worlds?
I've been playing Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, and the Suikoden vibe is completely there. I loved that game world, its mythos, the soft connections between the games. It contributed to the inspirational vibe, too....
If Reddit had a soul/conscience, I think it was us, and we're all on Lemmy now...
As a little background, I didn't actively use Reddit for months following the blackout. I still barely stop in over there and if I do I'm never logged in our contributing to the communities there (where I was previously a daily poster/commenter)....

What's your favourite era for video games?
Era can be defined as a console generation, a decade, one specific year, whatever you want. I’d encourage you to give a list of your favourite games from the generation of choice and why it was the best to you. Nostalgia is a totally viable reason too....
Controversy and Censorship
Now this one might be a little heated, but an example of this happening is the game Stellar Blade, whilst it is still a good game, there was also a sex appeal to it which they cut out the jiggle physics and sultryness out of the game before release....
When did reddit turn Facist?
Historically, I've perceived Reddit as slightly left leaning, with strong pockets of conservatives. Recently though, a vast majority of comment sections seem to excuse violence, such as in this thread (TW: police brutality), where people say things like...

Reflections on Xenoblade Chronicles
Xenoblade Chronicles has been one of the broadly popular JRPG series as of late, particularly within my own social circles. I have heard mostly good things about the games, and some vocal criticisms about the second game in particular. After finally picking up a Switch last year, I have now made my way through most of the...

Is there a Jrpg you could always play?
I think most of us play JRPG's only once, often for the story as well. But are there games for you you already have played a few times and could start that any time?...
Games that still need more patience: what games released a year ago (or older) are you waiting for a sale on? Or that need another patch?
Other than a slew of Nintendo titles that maybe hopefully will come down in price (the patient gamers' bane), I have my eye on the next time Divinity: Original Sin 2 goes on sale. A friend who never plays anything other than WoW loved playing Larian's newest with me and I'm trying to get her to pick this up. Pretty sure she'd...

Control - the first game to get me to turn on cheats in decades
I finished Control last week, likely the best game to marry a creepy funhouse with a sprawling government office that you'll ever play. I was up and down on this one for a few months. There's a fun narrative and plenty of atmosphere, but I wasn't always enjoying the gameplay....
