@gretared @TruthSandwich is a troll. He proved so obnoxious that no other Mastodon instance would put up with him. He had to start his own instance. The fact that he could do that implies financial (and probably political) backing.

Don't waste your time. Just block and move on.

@KormaChameleon there was never, in any context, an “extermination project”. Zionism was opportunistic and lucky aligning with colonial powers of the time, and that’s just about it.

Western Jews who started the Zionist movement and established the first congress in Basel, send missions to explore various regions of the world into which Russian Jews can be transported. Palestine was not the only option, nor the preferred.

For Hertzl it had to be with international and legal authority, either of the Ottomans, when Palestine was discussed, or the British in respect to various parts of Africa.

The “bunch of rich people” who gathered in Basel were Western and Russian Jews (mostly poor or lower middle class in fact) “. They could not gather in Austria, where Herzl lived, because the authorities objected.

Jewish plutocracy at this stage had no interest in non whatsoever.

yes, because of , the political ideology that has a right to Palestine.

Israel has illegal settlements in the .That is an invasion because it is illegal.

The fact that has no free access to the outside world (no international maritime port, no air space/airport, endless checkpoints) amounts to invasion in the form of

Israel is a US-funded nuclear outpost: that is an invasion of Palestine.

Same BS different propaganda stories been the "babies in ovens", "systemic rape" allegations, AND last not least your classic "anti-semitism" fairytales...

/ Zionism cannot produce a just peace. Only external pressure can end the Israeli apartheid. @raph), May 2021]

has created a dominant narrative in Israel that justifies the occupation and human rights violations against Palestinians. This narrative portrays Israel as acting in self-defense, Palestinians as unwilling to compromise for peace, and justifies the occupation, discrimination, and human rights violations against Palestinians.

Only external pressure can meaningfully push Israel to end the occupation and achieve a just peace.

@Smith007 is a very new account. It seems to be dedicated to 'hasbara'. Posts from that account don't show readily for me, but there are ways. 😉

I'll just repeat what Yarden Katz wrote:
"Anyone wishing to understand how the Holocaust was possible, how people who may be warm and kind in their personal lives could support the murder of an entire population deemed subhuman, should examine Israeli society."

"... the zionist project, culminating in Israel, is profoundly contrary to Jewish traditions ... Israel has suppressed these Jewish traditions and ways of living while hijacking parts of them when convenient."

"... the dismantling of Israel and the liberation of Palestine must also be a Jewish struggle — ... “Israeli” is a colonial identity that should be renounced, not just because it harms Palestinians but also because it is deeply anti-Jewish."

I've seen this sentiment expressed in many ways. There are indeed remarkable parallels, but the Zionism that spawned Israel was around long before Nazism. It might be more accurate to say that Nazism is an offspring of Israeli Zionism.
