Efraim Sneh, a former deputy minister of defense, said that Israel has achieved its military objectives of degrading the majority of Hamas capabilities and can afford to declare an end to the war in Gaza, get back the hostages, and redirect its focus to distancing #Hezbollah forces from its northern border.

🔶️ The #IDF is moving closer to a larger war with Hezbollah, Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari, a spokesman for the Israeli military, said in a video message Sunday. Fighting between Israel and Hezbollah has intensified in recent weeks at the Lebanese border. “Hezbollah’s increasing aggression is bringing us to the brink of what could be a wider escalation — one that could have devastating consequences for Lebanon and the entire region,” Hagari said. After an Israeli strike killed a Hezbollah commander last week, a Hezbollah official said the militant group would retaliate with increased operations “in intensity, strength, quantity and quality.”
Gallant is upset because, apparently, 11 IDF soldiers dead trumps thousands of civilians starving to death. Hopefully the ICJ dossier is updates on a regular basis with evidence of intentional #genocide.

[...] Defense Minister Yoav Gallant did not approve the ceasefire, and was not even aware of its existence. It was reported on Galei Tzahal (Army Radio) that Gallant was angry about the timing of when the #IDF announced the ceasefire, because at the end of last weekend it was cleared for publication that 11 fighters were killed in the #Gaza Strip.

Isreli reserve soldier Eliran Mizrahi committed #suicide. He went through difficult experiences during a long military operation in the #Gaza Strip, was demobilized, diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder, and was called under Order No. 8 back to the reserve in Rafah. On Friday, he committed suicide, and his father demands that he be buried in a military burial.
