Connect it for what purpose? Audio only? I've bought a Bluetooth to Aux-In adapter, it's a tiny USB dongle that pairs with your phone, and sends audio to the line-in port of the car radio (if you have one).
If its that serious, dont take your phone (or any device). A nation state will have no trouble tracking you if you're a worthy target.
You are asking in the wrong place. Your country will have a department of foreign affairs or similar, you should be speaking to them. They are the experts.
Can you please explain me how does that work? I mean, if I backup all my Whatsapp data and then I try to restore it on other phone, that would work just that easy?
I managed to back up my chats and then restore it after flashing a custom ROM (so technically "another phone") that way. it just copies the entire app with all its settings and contents and then lets you restore it to that previous state.
Yes you can! Your offline backup is inside the app data (you need a file manager to access the folder). If you use a Samsung Device, i think you won't be able to see it unless you plug the phone on your PC.
if you just want audio & your car doesnt support Bluetooth you could use an adapter to take it from Bluetooth to 3.5 aux. if your car is so fancy it doesn't have aux input you can get a Bluetooth to FM radio adapter that will take over one the channels in your car as well.
I've not seen anything that creepy, but one of the youtube channels I watch is an outdoors person, and she posts videos of like building shelters and shit, along with other things but honestly those are the ones I care about...
She posted a thing awhile back after taking some time off, apparently one of the viewers recognized something in one of her videos, and decided to spend weeks wandering around forests trying to find her.
A dude literally went out of his way for WEEKS to find a woman he has never met, who doesn't know he exists, and he knows travels alone in the woods, so he can be face to face with her in the middle of nowhere..... And didn't see a problem with that apparently.
Now in this instance, it was more of "wander a large area looking for signs" but another YouTube (tom Scott) posted a video awhile back giving as little information as possible, and it was him standing in a cornfield. Only a small bit of the sky was visible. He literally asked for people to track down that spot, in order to prove a point in another video.
People did it scary quick, unfortunately there was either a plane or a contrail visible, and with time of day and the sound of a nearby frog people got the spot to within a few feet or something like that. Details are fuzzy, it's been years since I saw the video.
That can always happen if you post a photo. People from your region may recognise things. Police also has experience checking for clues in pictures, like wallpapers or other decorative items.
This technology just expands the number of persons who can find out in a short time.
My point is: If you want to hide, don't give people clues. This has always been the case.
Within 15 miles isn't really doxxed. You can get better accuracy with GPS or cellular tracking. This seems like fear mongering. "Oh NO! AI is so dangerous!"
I'm guessing they interpolate it from the places people visit. Fertility clinics, strip clubs, brothels, etc. There's no lower limit for a data harvesting scumbag with an MBA and a "cool new idea" for the c-suite.
Fuck, that's totally it too. Scumbags with MBAs. The worst are the fresh out of college MBAs with no work experience that want to prove how "smart" they are.
lol I think they mean the car, since it knows where it is, can help car companies figure out who you're banging because you end up in the same room as the other person's cell phone a lot of the time while you're at that address. (Cell proximity is already used heavily to correlate data points, so it can pitch birthday present ideas to you for your mistress.) In this sense it's really no different than knowing what your favorite shoe store is, but they mention applications for abusers to track their exes and partners: thus sex life in itself becomes important.
I'm in need of a new (to me) car soon and this is stopping me from even starting the shopping process. Now I know I can cross new Hondas off my list of consideration (I can't stand to have notifications I can't turn off). But that still leaves a lot research into information the car companies don't want me to have and which I don't want to have to do.
Maybe I'll buy an old Crown Vic. They drive forever and don't look like any of the cars that local police currently use.
2010 to 2015 is my golden era. All the creature comforts like bluetooth, heated seats, etc, reliable, efficient engines (companies like Toyota and Honda still use most of the engines that were used in this era), but none of the big tech additions we've seen since.
