All of the Firefox forks are Firefox with a user.js added to it. So just use Firefox with a user.js. Here's three user.js'.

Most level-headed reaction to the issue I've seen to date. Thanks for saying it.

If a company has had a decent record to date, I prefer to wait to see if they hang themselves with their own rope rather than rage quitting on insufficient information.

They've done some questionable things in the past that can be explained by over-zealous PMs and such, so I'll wait to see how this plays out.

@asklemmy How could users Monitise themselves on the Fediverse?

As people possibly move across to the Fediverse to find alternatives, we have to question how people are going to make a living on this amazing platform.

Can it be fully run by donations or is there a better way for people to be paid across the Fediverse?

Do people have to make a living of it?

Can't we have a place online where out data isn't being sold, aren't being bombarded with ads, or begged for subscriptions?

Is there a Spotify alternative that has no ads?

I pay for Spotify for 7 years or so now and i'm so sick of all the ads. After every update there seems to be an: oops, sorry, you have ads now. Podcasts are filled with ads. I was just listening to a podcast where they shoved in 3 ads mid-sentence. How long until musicians put ads in their songs. I'm just so sick of it.

It's also getting shut down this coming year, so it's not a great suggestion.
