So sorry! But I totally understand. It was the same with the house I lived in, shortly, with my now hex... It was hers so, like you, I was the Dobby who was home and had to do the chores while she did her things and bossed me around... It was never good enough and if I asked for help, I'd not hear the end of it for days to come... 😔 So unfortunately, I totally understand... Having a partner that doesn't treat you with the respect you'd like is so.......... Yeah 😔.....
The therapist won't come to judge your home! They won't come to tell you off for struggling. And they'll probably have seen places many times worse! People with health battles sometimes have it very hard and they get to places that you and I can't (fortunately) imagine...
And it can be hard for others to understand our triggers, maybe after more talks with her, Beth gets to know you better and she'll get a better feel of the situation. Of course they always think some exaggerating is happening, so they tread carefully... I've had the same thing happen... I told the therapist what triggered me with my hex and she just ended up praising the hex (who was with me) for all she did for me... 🤔 So yeah... Been there too... 😔
